Sharing the same mission, Power Woman Business Center and College of the Canyons will collaborate in an effort to support start-up entrepreneurs in the Santa Clarita Valley. Both entities will support each other’s programs on behalf of small businesses and provide each other with cross marketing opportunities so that entrepreneurs can take advantage of what is offered at both organizations.
PWBC, which provides business entrepreneurs with low cost office facilities and services to help small businesses grow in a professional setting, will complement the extensive job training and professional services offered at College of the Canyons. “At PWBC, entrepreneurs will have a place to put in practice all that they have learned through the wonderful programs at College of the Canyons,” said PWBC Founder and President, Patricia Gracia.

"The Business Assistance Team of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) offers no-cost one-on-one services to help businesses of all sizes that are involved in all sectors of the economy. Regional managers located throughout LA County provide information on topics related to hiring programs, employee training, financing options, real estate site searches, demographic statistics, tax incentives at the federal, state and local levels, cost containment programs through energy reduction and lean manufacturing practices, and international trade. They also work on behalf of companies to sort out permitting challenges, to understand regulatory requirements, and to act as ombudsmen between the company and a public agency or private entity.
